Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using RageFit ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

RageFit is a gamified accountability and screen-time discipline app that lets you:

• Create and track goals (manual goals and device-measured goals such as steps, focus timers, and screen time where supported)
• Receive notifications and in-app messages (including AI-generated "roasts") based on your goal performance
• Connect with friends for accountability (requests, rivals, messaging, leaderboards)
• Participate in challenges/events and earn virtual currency and rewards

Features may change over time (see Section 13).

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with a parent/guardian's consent.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account.
• One account per person (unless we approve otherwise).

4. Permissions and Device Integrations

Some features require device permissions or system access. If you deny or revoke permissions, those features may not work.

Depending on your device and settings, RageFit may request access to:

• Notifications (to deliver accountability alerts and roasts)
• Usage / Screen-Time data on Android (e.g., UsageStats) for screen-time goals
• Motion/fitness data (e.g., pedometer/health integrations) for step/movement goals
• Other device features strictly needed for core functionality

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for illegal purposes
• Harass, abuse, threaten, defame, or harm other users
• Send obscene, hateful, or sexually explicit content through social features
• Attempt to bypass security measures, RLS rules, rate limits, or access controls
• Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
• Upload or transmit malware or attempt to disrupt the App's operation

We may remove content and/or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

6. AI-Generated Content ("Roasts")

• The App uses AI to generate certain messages ("roasts") intended as humor and motivational accountability about productivity/discipline—not personal attacks.
• To generate roasts, we may send limited goal details such as goal name/description, goal type and frequency, success/failure status, failure context (e.g., missed deadline), and metric context (targets/actuals). For app-specific screen-time goals, we may include selected app identifiers (package names).
• AI output can be incorrect, inappropriate, or unexpected. You are responsible for how you interpret and use it.
• You may be able to disable or reduce AI content in Settings (where available).
• You can report inappropriate content via in-app reporting (where available).
• No professional advice: The App and AI content are not medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.

7. Virtual Currency, Purchases, and Store Items

• RageFit Coins/Gems (or similar) are virtual items with no real-world monetary value and are not redeemable for cash.
• Virtual items may be earned or obtained through in-app purchases (where available).
• All purchases are final to the maximum extent permitted by law, except where refunds are required by applicable consumer laws or by the platform's policies (Apple/Google).
• We may modify pricing, rewards, and availability of virtual items at any time.

8. Friends, Social Features, and User Content

8.1 Social Features

• You may add friends, send/receive friend requests, engage in rivalry features, and message where enabled.
• You can block users. We may restrict social features for accounts that violate these Terms.

8.2 Your Content

• "User Content" includes your goals, messages, profile info, and any text/media you submit.
• You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant RageFit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the App.
• You represent that you have the rights to submit your User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

9. Data Collection and Privacy

Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it. By using the App, you consent to the collection, use, sharing, and processing of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• We do not guarantee that you will achieve any goals or outcomes.
• Device integrations depend on your device, permissions, OS support, and third-party services; accuracy may vary.
• Social features depend on other users' behavior; we do not guarantee safe or respectful conduct by others.

11. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, RageFit and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the App.
• Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, it is limited to the minimum permitted.

12. Termination

• You may stop using the App and/or delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a risk to other users, or misuse the App.
• Termination does not entitle you to refunds except where required by law/platform policies.

13. Changes to the Service and Terms

• We may modify the App (including features, virtual items, and availability) at any time.
• We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
